The last few months have been intense astrologically! There has been deep healing work done collectively in the past few months, that has called us to look at our whole selves, face hard truths, and decide what we want to take with us and leave behind as we evolve.

The good news is...September is a slow down, we can breathe a little easier and intentionally rest and reflect, and mentally prepare for the next season of ourselves. How do you want to show up, where do you want to be? Virgo season is my favorite time to focus on the physical body, and grounding all that I have learned (spiritually) into real life action items. With all of the spiritual work one can do, it only truly matters if we can ground it all into action on earth in this lifetime. This fall equinox is a known as our "initiation into the next phase" of our becoming, its great time to reset and get clear on goals that honor your highest self.
My favorite soul & self care practices for the fall:
Cleanse your space (I know very Virgo)- Clearing out your space, purging items no longer needed, clearing out accumulated clutter, is not only the best feeling, but holds an energetic and spiritual purpose. Our outside environment, is a physical manifestation of our inner world. Purging the clutter, allows us to clear space, for new information, insights and an be an open container to clear out old patterns, receive new ones and evolve. Looking around and seeing an external world that reflects a clear canvas, is one of the easiest ways to reset your mind for the new potentials and possibilities coming in. This can include:
1. Declutter- Donating items that are no longer accurate representations of the person you are today. Honor your authentic self and the many evolutions that will come as part of your personal growth. Allow old versions of yourself to fall away.
2. Relationship Audit- Determine where your energy is no longer needed, has grown, or requires change. This may be evaluating friendships you have outgrown, your career, or even partnerships. Maybe there is a needed conversation you are now ready to initiate, or something you are now ready to review and deal with emotionally. This can even look like a needed checkin with your partner, to have an honest conversation about what you want moving forward and what goals you will be working on for yourself, and ways you want to be supported. These can be hard to do initially, especially with loved ones, but once you get in the practice of only investing in relationships where you are free and encouraged to honor your truth, your life really aligns with partnerships that fit that standard.
Goal setting- Go back and review your personal goals for this year, use this as a check in for yourself. Evaluate if the same things that were important to you in January are still priorities. My favorite way to do this is go through old journal entries. This allows me to check in on where my mind was at 6 months ago and honor how far I have come, what I have accomplished and where I want to go next. It also allows me to examine patterns, am I consistently not showing up daily for the goals you know are important? Is there unconscious resistance or fear that needs to be worked through? Examining your goals is a great way to get brutally honest with yourself, and decide how you will take action.
Body work-The sign of Virgo, is a natural healer, and very invested in taking care of their physical and emotional body. Any body work that is going to move energy through and out of the body, is ideal right now. This can be swimming, gentle stretching, pilates (my personal fav), or breathwork meditation. The goal is to feel your feelings, and work through them.
Nourish yourself. One of the easiest ways to raise our vibrational state, is by eating foods that are high vibration and whole. Truly everything is energy, we want to put high energy, colorful foods into our bodies as fuel. The more processed (packaged foods, fast food) the lower the vibrational footprint. This means the closer to nature, the better. Shopping your local farmers market, or even growing your own produce, are great ways you can take pride of what is going in your body. My favorite book recommendation is The Celestine Prophecy, if you want to learn more about managing your energetic state though foods and nourishment, this is a great one.
Rest! I cannot tell you how many clients have reported having whole days where they just need to rest with no agenda. Normalize this- its is essential to rest! Find a day or two of rest, do something mindless or nourishing to your body. Remember how parents would say "oh you must be growing, that's why you need so much rest", this is my same working theory for our spiritual selves. With all of the healing and spiritual work that we do consciously, our unconscious state is the ideal time for your body to catch up, unlocking and activating higher codes within your DNA. My favorite way to practice this is no phone, with no agenda in nature, but don't over think it. Just allow yourself to rest, without guilt or shame.
Trust we are in the new era-grind culture and working to exhaustion, is not cute anymore. Understanding when to listen to your body, before getting to the point of burnout, exhaustion and illness, is the next level of self mastery and learning how to regulate one's nervous system.
No matter how you reset, giving yourself time to clear space, physically, emotionally and spiritually, allows new potentials for the new to come in, in all areas of life. I hope this was supportive as we move forward into the next chapter of our personal development. May we all face our soul's TrueNorth.
